2008 - A Life Change

In January 2008, I bought a 2005 Pontiac G6, giving up my Ford Mustang. I miss my pretty Mustang, but little did I know, there was a reason why that happened. If I had it now, I would be in trouble as it would not be condusive to transport me as well as the G6 does. There is a little back story to this but at the time it didn't seem important until it happened. I had noticed a little bit of tingling in my legs a couple weeks before but passed it off as sitting the wrong way. It went away and I forgot about it. The day before my legs quit, I was finishing a turn from Mexico and when I got back to Atlanta we had to park out at the International terminal. I noticed that my legs were really heavy and it was a total chore to get back to the crewroom, check out and catch the bus home. It was a long trip so I passed it off again as just exhaustion and and felt better by the time I got home. On February 19, 2008, I got up to go to the bathroom as most people do in the morning and my legs went out from under me. They just didn't work. I fell to the floor. Sean took me to the emergency room and they suspected that I had a compressed disk or something and gave me steroids and sent me home. I was able to walk a bit that evening and slept alot. The next morning, it happened again and we went back to the emergency room. I spent most of the next 4 months in 3 different hospitals. The neurologist told me that the covering around my spinal cord was damaged and that caused swelling which in turn damaged my spinal cord. I am now a paraplegic with a rating of T3 Incomplete. I
