The first important mention of 1990 was Senior Prom. For many years I had told my best friend Karen, that I was taking her to my senior prom and she told me she would beat me if I took anyone else but her. Well, come prom time, there wa a situation that made the issye sticky. Karen was engaged to her soon to be future Ex-Husband Tony. He had a fit with the idea that she would be going out to anything public with anyone else while being engaged to him. Karen told Tony he would have to get over it and we went anyway. I have many pictures of this event but I have to get Karen's permission to post them as she is in the photos and I don't ever post photos of anyone else without asking.

On May 25, 1990 The Graduating Class of Hatley High School 1990 said their last hurrahs. It was sad and yet happy in a way. I miss a few of the people I went to high school with, but overall because I was not treated well in high school, I was glad to be done. I had already made plans to go to Florida and so I left immediately after graduation, went into town to Hardees, got something to eat and headed home to get my suitcase. My mother was not happy as I was only 17 and going alone. She said that she would call the law and have me listed as a runaway and I offered to call them for her. I left and drove all night to Orlando and Disney World. I had a great time. I have to look back and laugh cause this was the first time I had ever taken someone to a hotel room. I met a guy named Darrin there in Orlando and he went back to my hotel room with me and I will have to say, we had a good time. I remember trying to find the Parliament House hotel and couldn't.

I didn't want to leave Florida but ran out of money quickly so had to come home. I vowed at that point to return there to live. I enrolled in Itawamba Community College in August 1991 and planned on a career in Computer Programming. I did very well my first semester.

James Dale was ousted by the Boy Scouts, an assistant scoutmaster from New Jersey for being gay.

In August 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait leading to the 1990-1991 Gulf War Conflict.
