It was on this day that my father, Robert Gorden Miller passed away from Cardiopulmonary Edema. (Fluid in the lungs) He had sustained an injury at work some time before this and it is believed that the prolonged amount of time he was on painkillers may have contributed to this. He was 38 years old.

It's funny how you look back and cannot remember alot of things about a parent who dies early. I have two vivid memories of this time. I remember sometime before his death, sitting on his lap watching the neighbors digging their fish pond down the hill below the house in Athens. I also remember being taken somewhere in a vehicle from the funeral home.
